Exeter City Supporters Club of Norway sponser Exeterspiller

På iniativ fra fem Exiles (Andre Long, James Forsyth, Darren Drew, Ed Hyland og Alan Crockford) er The 19/31 Fund opprettet nå i sommer. Cluet er at en gruppe supportere går sammen for å dekke utgiftene til en ung, lovende Exeterspiller. Ting har gått fort, snart 60 personer eller foreninger har kastet seg på, og spilleren er innhentet;
Nr 31 James Norwood.

Vår mann James startet karrieren med seks sesonger for Old Town Boys i Eastbourne, i ligaen Susses Youth League.

Alan C:
"Many thanks for agreeing to contribute to ‘The 19/31 Fund’, either as a full member yourself or by paying towards a group pledge. We now have 51 members, (har økt siden dette. Gaff. Kom)  so almost £1,000 per month pledged. A total of 60 to 70 members seems possible.
We’re all very grateful for your support and, as I hope you’ll have seen on the official ECFC website or the BBC website, our money will pay the wages of City’s new Number 31, James Norwood."

James Norwood, another of Exeter's impressive trialists, has already
been offered a deal and Tisdale hopes he can make the step up to
professional football.

"We have to be broad minded and be wide enough with our
recruitment that if you see someone, no matter what their
background, you are prepared to make an opportunity for them," he
said. "I think he has enough raw ability to invest some time into
him.

"I am sure he will improve very quickly, he has been playing
schools football and was a very prolific scorer in schools
football, but now he has to adjust to professional football and
be a professional player. But I think we have to question his
choice of pink boots to begin with!"
